Now you need to go online. With your notes for what you can tell people, use the search engines to find out what other websites are out there with the same information your home-based business can provide. Are there a hundred sites about roses, but only one about bachelor buttons? Fifty sites for removing stains from clothes but not one addressing carpets, upholstery, and curtains? It's the underserved market you want to target.
Now build your website. You don't have to know HTML to build one – for simplicity, something like Front Page Lite is adequate. You may have to take a class or buy a Dummies book to complete this step. The most important thing to remember is to keep it simple. You just want to deliver information and maybe a few pictures. Your work at home business should show off your information, not the Flash animation on your home page.
Finally, making money. Once your information's up there, sell ad space to Google AdSense. But that's only one way your home based business can make money; the other is by selling other people's products through affiliate programs, like Amazon Affiliate. Learn everything you can about search engine optimization too, to get people to come to your work at home business website. Be active on bulletin boards and online communities; get your name out there. And never miss a chance to promote your home-based business.
